82.10

杼軸（上除旅反下蟲陸反鄭箋詩云無他貨唯絲麻耳今空杼軸不作也方言抒軸作也東齊土作謂之杼木作謂之軸說文持機緯也從木予聲）。

杼軸 Shuttles and rollers (the first character is pronounced [in fanqie] 除 + 旅; the second is pronounced [in fanqie] 蟲 + 陸; Zheng's commentary on the Shijing says: "There were no other goods, only silk and hemp; now the shuttles and rollers stand idle and unproductive." The Fangyan says: "杼軸 means to work; in eastern Qi, earthenware work is called 杼, and wooden work is called 軸." The Shuowen says: "The device holding the weft on a loom; formed with 'wood' (木) as semantic and 予 as phonetic").
