為笴（于旱反尚書大傳若射之笴括鄭玄云箭篙古今正字從竹可聲）。

為笴 (making an arrow-shaft): The fanqie 于 (y-) + 旱 (hàn) [gǎn]. The Shangshu dazhuan says: "Like the shaft (gǎn) and notch of an arrow"; Zheng Xuan says: "The stem of an arrow." The Gujin zhengzi says: "It takes 竹 as semantic component and 可 as phonetic component."
