削槀（上相略反廣雅削滅也說文從刀肖聲下高老反史記屈原為憲今屬令屬草槀未定也顧野王槀猶草也說文秆也從禾高聲傳從草作藁俗字也）。

削槀 (Drafting and editing: the first is *sjang-ljak* [xiāo]; the Guangya says: "*Xiao* means to eradicate." The Shuowen [says]: "Formed with the knife radical and phonetic *xiao*." The second is *kaw-law* [gǎo]; the Shiji says: "When Qu Yuan drafted laws and ordinances, while the draft was not yet finalized..." Gu Yewang says: "*Gao* is like a rough draft." The Shuowen [says]: "Stalks of grain; formed with the grain radical and phonetic *gao*." In the transmission written with the grass radical as 藁 is a popular variant).
