壼奧（坤衮反尒雅宮中衖謂壼鄭注巷舍間道也說文亦宮中道也亞象官垣道塗上之刑下擙告反郭注爾雅室中隱奧之處也說文從冂掬音居六反聲衖音巷）。

壼奧 (Pronounced [kūn] + [gǔn] fanqie. The Erya says: 'Passageways in a palace are called 壼.' Zheng's commentary says: 'Lanes and paths between chambers.' The Shuowen says: 'Also palace pathways; 亞 represents the shape of palace walls and pathways above.' The second character is pronounced [ào] + [gào] fanqie. Guo's commentary on the Erya says: 'The secluded, interior recess of a chamber.' The Shuowen says: 'Composed of 冂, with 掬 (pronounced [jū] + [liù] fanqie) as phonetic.' 衖 is pronounced [xiàng].)
