葶艾（上定丁反考聲云葶藶草名也郭注爾雅云實葉皆似芥一名狗等下吾蓋反郭注爾雅云蒿艾也說文二字並從草亭乂並聲也）。

Tingli and mugwort (葶艾: the upper [character 葶 is] ding-ding fan [tíng]. The Kaosheng says: “Tingli is the name of a plant.” Guo [Pu]'s commentary on the Erya says: “Its fruit and leaves all resemble mustard; another name is goudeng.” The lower [character 艾 is] wu-gai fan [ài]. Guo [Pu]'s commentary on the Erya says: “Hao-ai (mugwort).” The Shuowen [jiezi] says that both characters are formed with 艸 ('grass'), with ting and yi both phonetic).
