麒麐（上音其下悋珍反瑞獸也王者有至聖之德則應之說文仁獸也二字並從鹿形聲字也）。

麒麐: the first character is pronounced *qí* (其); the second character has the fanqie *l- / trin* (悋珍反); an auspicious beast that responds when a ruler possesses the virtue of supreme sagacity; the Shuowen says it is a benevolent beast; both characters take the deer classifier (鹿); phono-semantic compound characters.
