氛祲（上音芬下精禁反杜注左傳云祲祅氣也周禮云陰陽氣相侵漸成灾也說文氣感不祥也從示侵省聲也）。

氛祲 (The first syllable is pronounced 芬 [fēn]. The second syllable has the fanqie 精禁 [jìn]. Du [Yu's] commentary to the Zuo zhuan says: "祲 [jìn] means ominous vapors." The Zhouli says: "The yin and yang vapors mutually encroach upon one another, gradually forming calamities." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Atmospheric portents indicating ill omen." It takes 示 [shì] as semantic and an abbreviated form of 侵 [qīn] as phonetic.)
