魁嶷（上苦回反賈逵注國語云魁者川阜奘曰魁也說文從斗鬼聲下凝極反考聲云嶷山貌說文從山疑聲）。

魁嶷 (The first syllable has the fanqie 苦回 [kuí]. Jia Kui's commentary to the Guoyu says: "魁 [kuí] refers to large river mounds; a great mound is called 魁." The Shuowen jiezi says it takes 斗 [dǒu] and 鬼 [guǐ] as phonetic. The second syllable has the fanqie 凝極 [yí]. The Kaosheng says: "嶷 [yí] is the towering appearance of a mountain." The Shuowen jiezi says it takes 山 [shān] as semantic and 疑 [yí] as phonetic.)
