裌紵（上監洽反廣雅云裌重也論作夾非案聲類音叶非夾義故不取下除呂反周禮典掌布緦縷麻紵之物也鄭注緦十五升布抽半也又色白而細曰紵也說文從糸宁聲宁直呂）。

裌紵 (The upper [character] is jian + qia [jiá]. The Guangya says: "裌 means double-layered." In the treatise it is written as 夾, which is incorrect; according to the Shenglei, its sound is xie [yè] and it does not have the meaning of 夾 [double-layered], so that is not adopted. The lower [character] is chu + lü [zhù]. In the Rites of Zhou, the Cloth Custodian is in charge of coarse hemp yarn and ramie items. Zheng's commentary says: "緦 [coarse hemp cloth] is a fifteen-sheng cloth stripped by half; furthermore, that which is white and fine is called 紵 [ramie]." The Shuowen [notes that it] derives from 糸 with 宁 as phonetic; 宁 is zhi + lü [zhù].)
