坑爇（上苦𢖍反考聲云坑坎也下而拙反案坑爇者孔安國尚書序云秦始皇焚書坑儒是也古今正字云𤑔燒也從火藝省藝音詣）。

Pit-burying and burning (坑爇; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 苦𢖍. The Kaosheng says: "坑 means a pit." The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 而拙. As for 坑爇, Kong Anguo's preface to the Shangshu says: "The First Emperor of Qin burned the books and pit-buried the scholars"; this is it. The Gujin zhengzi says: "𤑔 means to burn; it takes the radical 火 with the abbreviated 藝"; 藝 is sounded 詣).
