泯弃（上民尹反孔注尚書云泯昏亂也毛詩傳云泯滅也爾雅云盡也古今正字從水民聲）。

Extinguish and abandon (泯弃; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 民尹. Kong's commentary to the Shangshu says: "泯 means chaotic." The commentary to the Mao Classic of Poetry says: "泯 means to extinguish." The Erya says: "It means to exhaust completely." The Gujin zhengzi gives it with the radical 水 and 民 as phonetic).
