𤡝牢（上并奚反王肅注家語云𤡝牢獄也集訓云𤡝牢也門外行馬也考聲從木非從土作㯇獄名也今俗用從比作狴誤也說文牢也所以枸非從陛省聲也論中從犬作狴非也）。

𤡝牢 [prison]: The first character is read with the fanqie bing + xi. Wang Su's commentary on the Kongzi jiayu states: 'A 𤡝 is a prison.' The Jixun states: 'A 𤡝 is a prison; it is a caltrop barrier outside a gate.' The Kaosheng analyzes it as composed with the wood radical (木), not with the earth radical (土), written as 㯇, the name of a prison. In popular contemporary usage it is written with the bi radical (比) as 狴, which is erroneous. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A prison; that which restrains.' It does not take phonetic sheng from an abbreviation of bi (陛). In the text of the treatise, written with the dog radical (犬) as 狴, it is mistaken.
