Mottled and mixed (駁雜: bāng-jiǎo fan. Sima Biao's commentary on the Zhuangzi states that discordant and mottled means not unified. The Shuowen [jiezi] states that bó means unpure, and is composed of 'horse' [馬] with yáo [爻] phonetic).
