簪紱（側林反蒼頡篇云簪笄也男子以固冠婦人為首飾說文從竹替聲下分物反蒼頡篇紱綬也說文從糸犮聲字書亦作[糸*市]）。

Hairpin and sash (簪紱): [The first character is pronounced] *ce* + *lin* fan. The Cangjie pian says: 'A hairpin (簪) is a hairpin (笄); men use it to fasten their caps, and women use it as a head ornament.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It is formed with [the semantic classifier] bamboo (竹) and the phonetic replacement component (替).' The second character is pronounced *fen* + *wu* fan. The Cangjie pian says: 'The ribbon (紱) is a ribbon sash (綬).' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It is formed with [the semantic classifier] silk (糸) and the phonetic component *ba* (犮).' Character dictionaries also write it as [糸*市].
