And flowing away / confounded (而汩): [The second character is pronounced] *yun* + *bi* fan. Wang Yi's commentary on the Songs of Chu says: '汩 means flowing away.' The Fangyan says: 'It means swift.' It is formed with [the semantic classifier] water (水) and the phonetic component *yue* (曰). The character 曰 is pronounced *yue*.
