覿天（庭歷反何注公羊傳覿見也說文從見賣聲）。

Looking up to heaven / meeting the emperor (覿天): [The first character is pronounced] *ting* + *li* fan. He [Xiu's] commentary on the Gongyang zhuan says: 'To see/meet (覿) means to meet.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It is formed with [the semantic classifier] see (見) and the phonetic component *mai* (賣).'
