讚唄（上佐旦反釋名云讚謂稱人之美也文字典說讚猶褒揚其美德也從言贊聲贊音同上下牌拜反文字典說唄讚梵聲也從口貝聲）。

讚唄 [zànbài] (The first character has the fanqie zuo + dan. The Shiming says: 'Zàn means praising the excellence of a person.' The Wenzidian shuo says: 'Zàn is akin to extolling their fine virtue. It has the radical 言 [words] and zan as phonetic.' 贊 has the same sound as above. The second character has the fanqie pai + bai. The Wenzidian shuo says: 'Bài refers to chanting hymns with a Sanskrit voice. It has the radical 口 [mouth] and bei as phonetic').
