博綜（上正愽字說文云博大通也從十從尃尃音浦浦猶布也下宗送反太玄經云乃綜于名宋忠注云所以紀綜也說文云綜機縷持絲交織者也從糸宗聲糸音覓）。

Broadly synthesize (博綜: the first character is the standard character bó. The Shuowen jiezi says: "Bó means vast and comprehensive." It takes 十 and 尃; 尃 is pronounced pǔ, and pǔ means to spread out. The second character has the fanqie 宗 + 送. The Taixuanjing says: "Thereupon synthesize with names." Song Zhong's commentary says: "That by which one chronicles and weaves together." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Zòng refers to the threads on a loom holding warp silks as they cross-weave." It takes 糸 as semantic classifier and 宗 as phonetic component; 糸 is pronounced mì).
