漱水 (Rinsing with water): The first character is read fanqie *s[āo]-[y]òu* [shù]. Character books state: '漱 (*shù*) means to agitate and surge.' The *Shuowen jiezi* states: '漱 means to wash and rinse the mouth; it is classified under the radical *shuǐ* (water) with *shuò* (欶) phonetic; it is also an associative compound.' 欶 is pronounced *shuò*.
