髫齔（上音條前第一卷已訓釋下梵謹反鄭注周禮云齔謂男八歲女七歲毀齒也字統云女七月生齒七歲而齔男八月生齒八歲而齔也說文從齒七聲）。

髫齔 (Tender youth; childhood): The first character has the sound *tiáo*; it has already been glossed in Fascicle One. The second character is read fanqie *f[àn]-[j]ǐn* [chèn]. Zheng's commentary on the *Zhouli* states: '齔 (*chèn*) refers to boys shedding teeth at age eight and girls at age seven.' The *Zitong* states: 'A girl grows teeth at seven months and sheds teeth (齔) at seven years; a boy grows teeth at eight months and sheds teeth at eight years.' The *Shuowen jiezi* states: 'It is classified under the radical *chǐ* (tooth) with *qī* (七) phonetic.'
