火艦（下咸黤反廣雅云艦舟也埤蒼云艦板屋船也考聲云火艦謂戰船也古今正字艦謂船上下重也從舟監聲也）。

Fire ship (for the second [character 艦], x- + [y]an [jiàn]; the Guangya says: “A 'jian' is a boat.” The Picang says: “A 'jian' is a boat with planked cabins.” The Kaosheng says: “A 'fire jian' refers to a warship.” The Gujin zhengzi says: “A 'jian' refers to a boat with multiple storeys upper and lower; it follows 舟 (boat) and has 監 as its phonetic.”).
