迭相（上田結反郭注方言云迭猶代也說文亦更也從辵失聲辵音丑略反聲類從足作趺跌即過也非此義也）。

Alternately (for the first [character 迭], d- + [j]ie [dié]; Guo's commentary to the Fangyan says: “'Die' is like substituting.” The Shuowen also says: “To alternate. It follows 辵 with 失 as its phonetic.” 辵 is pronounced ch- + [l]ue [chuò]. The Shenglei gives it following 足 (foot) as 趺跌 [diédié], which means stumbling, not this meaning).
