慌惚（呼晃反又作怳虛往反謂虛妄見也惟怳惟惚似有無也漢書音義曰慌惚眼之見也）。

慌惚 [indistinct and shadowy]: [The first character is pronounced with the] fanqie 呼晃 (huǎng), and also written 怳, with the fanqie 虛往 (huǎng). It refers to seeing something vaguely and illusively. "Vaguely and indistinctly, appearing as if existing and non-existing." The Yinyi of the Book of Han says: "慌惚 is what is seen vaguely by the eyes."
