慢聳（上蠻盼反孔注尚書云慢輕也顧野王云輕侮也說文從心曼聲曼音萬下相勇反郭注方言云欲也考聲高也說文從耳從聲）。

慢聳 [negligent and towering / arrogant] (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie 蠻盼 [màn]. Kong [Anguo]'s commentary on the Book of Documents says: '慢 means slight.' Gu Yewang says: 'To disrespect and insult.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It derives from 心 [mind] with 曼 as phonetic.' 曼 is pronounced wàn. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 相勇 [sǒng]. Guo [Pu]'s commentary on the Fangyan says: 'Desire.' The Kaosheng says: 'Lofty.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It derives from 耳 [ear] and 從 [follow] as phonetics').
