瑩心（上縈定反傳文從金作鎣廣雅摩也謂摩拭珠玉等使發光明也說文玉色也從玉從熒省聲也）。

瑩心 [purifying the mind] (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie 縈定 [yìng]. In the text of the biography it is written with 金 [metal] as 鎣. The Guangya says: 'To polish,' meaning to polish pearls, jade, and the like to make them lustrous. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'The colour of jade; it derives from 玉 [jade] with the reduced 熒 as phonetic').
