砥礪（上音砥下力曳反郭注山海經礪磨右也說文磨斂細磨石也出𡹮嵫山）。

砥礪 [whetstones / to sharpen and temper] (The first character is pronounced like 砥 [dǐ]. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 力曳 [lì]. Guo [Pu]'s commentary on the Classic of Mountains and Seas says: '礪 means a whetstone.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A fine polishing stone for sharpening; it is produced at Mount Nizi').
