爽溰（上霜兩反廣雅爽貴也說文明也從叕叕音力討反從大下開改反杜注左傳云爽明也塏燥也野外高燥地也）。

爽溰 (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 霜兩 [shuǎng]. The Guangya says: "爽 means noble." The Shuowen says: "Bright; it takes 叕 [pronounced with the fanqie 力討, lǎo] and takes 大." The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 開改 [kǎi]. Du's commentary to the Zuozhuan says: "爽 means bright; 塏 means dry; high and dry land in the open country.")
