丼絡（上正井字周書云黃帝始穿井世本云伯益作丼王弼注周易云丼通也白虎通云因丼為市故曰市丼說文云八家同一丼下郎各反郭璞注山海經云絡繞也說文從糸各聲之也）。

Well-curb frame (丼絡: the first is the correct character for 井 [well]. The Book of Zhou says: "The Yellow Emperor first dug wells." The Shiben says: "Boyi created wells (丼)." Wang Bi's commentary on the Zhouyi says: "井 means through-flowing." The Baihu tong says: "Markets were held around wells, hence called 市井 (marketplaces)." The Shuowen says: "Eight families share one well (丼)." The second character is láng + gè fanqie [luò]. Guo Pu's commentary on the Shanhaijing says: "絡 means to encircle." The Shuowen says: "It has the silk radical, with 各 as phonetic.").
