版蕩（上班簡反鄭注周禮云版今戶籍書也自齒生已上皆書之於版數登萬人也說文從片反聲傳文或作師誤下堂黨反字書正從皿作盪考聲云蕩猶除也按版蕩者謂梁籍除者也）。

Disruption of registers / Upheaval (版蕩: the first character is bān + jiǎn fanqie [bǎn]. Zheng's commentary on the Rites of Zhou says: "版 is the present-day household register. All who have grown teeth and above are entered upon the registers, with counts mounting to tens of thousands." The Shuowen says: "It has the片 radical, with 反 as phonetic." The transmitted text sometimes mistakenly writes it as 師. The second character is táng + dǎng fanqie [dàng]. Lexicons write it correctly with the basin radical 皿 as 盪. The Kaosheng says: "蕩 is like 除 (to eliminate)." Note that 版蕩 refers to the cancellation and loss of the Liang registers).
