霓裳（上詣鷄反王逸注楚辭云霓雲之有色似龍者也郭注爾雅云雌虹曰霓說文云霓屈虹也從雨兒省聲也言霓裳者神仙飛行衣如虹霓）。

Rainbow garments (霓裳: the first character is yì + jī fanqie [ní]. Wang Yi's commentary on the Songs of Chu says: "A 霓 is colored cloud resembling a dragon." Guo's commentary on the Erya says: "The female rainbow is called 霓." The Shuowen says: "霓 is a curved rainbow; it has the rain radical, with an abbreviated 兒 as phonetic." Saying "rainbow garments" means that the flying garments of immortals are like rainbows).
