逃迸 (fleeing and scattering: the first character is pronounced táo; the Guangya states: '逃 means to avoid.' The Shuowen states: 'It means to flee/perish;' it has semantic 辵 and phonetic 兆; the transmitted text has 巡, which is a vulgar character. The second character is a fanqie of 伯 and 孟 [bèng]; Zheng Xuan's commentary to the Liji states: '迸 means to banish or drift away.' Dictionaries also write it with 足 as 跰, where 跰 is like scattering; the Gujin zhengzi analyzes it as semantic 辵 and phonetic 并).
