齊鑣 (riding side by side with level bits: the second character is a fanqie of 彼 and 苗 [biāo]; the Erya states: 'A bit (鑣) is called an 钀.' Guo's commentary states: 'An 钀 is the iron bit of a horse's bridle.' The Kaosheng states: 'A bit (鑣) expels foam from a horse.' The Shuowen states: 'A bit (鑣) is a horse's bit;' it is analyzed as semantic 金 and phonetic 麃, with 麃 pronounced páo; it is also written with 角 as 𧥍, with identical sound and meaning; the transmitted text writing it as 䮽 is a vulgar character).
