耎几 (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 儒 [rú] + 兖 [yǎn], [ruǎn]. The Zhouli says: "'Ruǎn' means soft and supple." The Shuowen says: "It takes 而 as its radical and 犬 as its phonetic component." In the text of the biography it is written with 車 [cart] as 軟, which is a vulgar and incorrect character. The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 機 [jī] + 履 [lǚ], [jǐ]).
