聲懋（上正聲字說文云聲音也從耳殸聲殸口冷反下矛候反孔注尚書云猶勉也與楙字義同說文從心楙聲楙音同或從矛作𢘅）。

聲懋 (The first character is the correct character 聲 [shēng]. The Shuowen says: "'Shēng' means sound. It takes 耳 [ear] as its radical and 殸 as its phonetic component." The phonetic reading of 殸 is 口 [kǒu] + 冷 [lěng], [kǐng]. The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 矛 [máo] + 候 [hòu], [mào]. Kong Anguo's commentary to the Shangshu says: "It is like exerting effort (勉); it shares the same meaning with the character 楙." The Shuowen says: "It takes 心 [mind/heart] as its radical and 楙 as its phonetic component." The sound of 楙 is the same. It is also written with 矛 as 𢘅).
