坑坎（上客庚反或從阜作阬顧野王云坑壑也亦池漸也說文坑墟也從土亢聲下堪敢反考聲云小坑）。

Pits and hollows (坑坎: the upper character has the fanqie ke-geng [keng]; it is also written with the "mound" radical [阜] as 阬. Gu Yewang says: 'A 坑 is a ravine; it also means a gradual pool.' The Shuowen says: 'A 坑 is an earthen pit; it is derived from "earth" [土] and phonetic kang [亢].' The lower character has the fanqie kan-gan [kan]. The Kaosheng says: 'A small pit.').
