[Lize]: The first character is pronounced lì; the second character is pronounced zhái. A character dictionary says: 'Lize is the name of a marsh in the Wu region. In this marsh there are no trees, and travellers always unfurl bamboo hats and walk; hence it was named from that.' It is composed of the [semantic] radical 'bamboo' (竹) and lì (立).
