踰閫(上庾珠反毛詩傳云踰越也廣雅云渡也說文從足俞聲下坤本反也鄭注禮記云閫門限也說文從木作梱門橛也)。

踰閫 [crossing the threshold]: The first character is read with the fanqie yu + zhu (yú). Mao's commentary on the Shijing says: 'Yú means to cross over.' The Guangya says: 'It means to cross.' The Shuowen jiezi says it is composed of the [semantic] radical 'foot' (足) and the sound yú (俞). The second character is read with the fanqie kun + ben (kǔn). Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary on the Liji says: 'Kǔn means the doorsill.' The Shuowen jiezi writes it with the [radical] 'tree/wood' as 梱, meaning a door bolt/peg.
