南裔（下延曀反孔注尚書云裔末也杜注左傳云遠也廣雅云裔表也說文裔衣裙也從衣從冏聲冏音女滑反）。

南裔 [southern borders]: The second character is read with the fanqie yan + yi (yì). Kong [Anguo]'s commentary on the Shangshu says: 'Yì means the outer edge.' Du [Yu]'s commentary on the Zuozhuan says: 'It means distant.' The Guangya says: 'Yì means the exterior.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Yì means the hem of a garment. It is composed of the [semantic] radical 'clothing' (衣) and the sound jiǒng (冏); jiǒng is read with the fanqie nü + hua.'
