虓虎（上孝交反毛詩傳云虎之自怒虓然謂虎怒聲也說文虓虎鳴也從虎九聲）。
虓虎 (the first character has the fanqie xiao + jiao [xiāo]; the Mao commentary on the Shijing says: "The tiger's own rage is roar-like (虓然); it refers to the sound of a tiger's anger." The Shuowen says: "虓 [xiāo] is a tiger crying out; it has the tiger radical and jiu phonetic.")
