囂撓（上虗嬌反鄭注禮記云囂猶讙也說文云囂氣出頭從㗊頁聲㗊音戢頁音纈下拏咬反廣雅云撓亂也聲類云撓攪也云擾也從手堯聲也）。

囂撓 (the first character has the fanqie xu + jiao [xiāo]; Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Liji says: "囂 [xiāo] is like clamour (讙)." The Shuowen says: "囂 [xiāo] means breath coming out of the head; it has the ji radical and xie phonetic; ji has the pronunciation ji, and xie has the pronunciation xie." The second character has the fanqie na + yao [náo]; the Guangya says: "撓 [náo] means to cause disorder." The Shenglei says: "撓 [náo] means to stir up, or to disturb; it has the hand radical and yao phonetic.")
