揭坩（上䖍蘗反史記云揭高舉也說文從手曷聲下坎甘反方言云坩瓦器也古今正字從土甘聲）。

揭坩 (the first character has the fanqie qian + nie [jiē]; the Shiji says: "揭 [jiē] means to hold high." The Shuowen says: "It has the hand radical and he phonetic." The second character has the fanqie kan + gan [gān]; the Fangyan says: "A 坩 [gān] is an earthenware vessel." The Gujin zhengzi says: "It has the earth radical and gan phonetic.")
