Eyelashes (䀹眼: the first character is [pronounced with the fanqie] 僣葉 [jié]; character dictionaries correctly write it as 睫. The Zhuangzi states: '䀹 means the hairs of the eye.' The Wenzi jilüe has it with the 'hair' radical as 𣮌. The Wenzi dianshuo states: '䀹 means the hairs beside the eyes; it takes the "eye" radical and 夾 phonetic.' 𣮌 has the same sound as above).
