Three hundred Rang barbarians (獽三百) (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 若章 [ruò + zhāng -> ráng]; the Wenzi jilüe says: 'The 獽 are a branch of the Rong'; the Kaosheng says: '獽 is the name of a Rong tribe; it is composed of the dog radical (犬) with 襄 phonetic').
