刷心（上疎刮反爾雅云刷清也郭璞注云掃刷也所以清涼也廣雅云刷利也說文從刀𡰯省聲㕞音所劣也傳文從寸作刮誤也）。

刷心 ('cleansing the mind': the first character has the fanqie 疎刮 [shū + guā]. The Erya says: '刷 means to cleanse.' Guo Pu's commentary says: 'It means sweeping and scrubbing, that which makes one clear and cool.' The Guangya says: '刷 means sharp.' The Shuowen says: 'It is derived from 刀 with 𡰯 abbreviated as phonetic.' 㕞 has the sound 所劣. In the transmission text it is written with 寸 as 刮, which is an error).
