煢煢（葵營反音瓊孔注尚書云煢單也毛詩傳云煢煢單無所依也又云憂遑之貌也說文從卂從熒省聲也）。

煢煢 ('solitary and helpless': pronounced with the fanqie 葵營 [kuí + yíng], sound 瓊. Kong's commentary to the Shangshu says: '煢 means solitary.' Mao's commentary to the Shijing says: '煢煢 means solitary with nothing to rely on.' It also says: 'The appearance of anxiety.' The Shuowen states that it is derived from 卂 with 熒 abbreviated as phonetic).
