Cut this (劑此; the upper character is q[í] + [ji]é fanqie. The Erya states: '劑 (jì) means even.' Nowadays people in the south call scissors jìdāo. The Gujin zhengzi gives the same pronunciation; it has the radical 刀 (knife) and the phonetic 齊).
