聖喆（下知烈反爾雅云喆智也尚書云知人則喆說文作哲知也從口折聲古文作哲從三吉也亦作悊集本從[(立*立)/吉]者字書哲字也）。

Shengzhe 聖喆 (The lower character is pronounced fanqie 知烈. The Erya says: "Zhe 喆 means wise." The Shangshu says: "To know others is to be wise (zhe)." The Shuowen writes it as 哲: "Wise; it has the 'mouth' radical and the phonetic component zhe 折." In ancient script it is written as 哲, with three ji 吉; it is also written as 悊. Those in collected editions written with [(立*立)/吉] are the character zhe in character dictionaries).
