讖緯（上楚𧮂反蒼頡篇云讖書河洛也淮南讖書著之是也顧野王謂占後有効驗也說文驗也從言韱聲下韋貴反大戴禮云東西為緯也說文橫織絲也從糸韋聲也）。

Chenwei 讖緯 (The upper character is pronounced fanqie 楚𧮂. The Cangjie pian says: "Chen 讖 refers to texts like the Yellow River Chart and Luoshu Inscription." As noted in the Huainanzi's reference to apocryphal texts (chenshu). Gu Yewang says: "It means divining with subsequent verification." The Shuowen says: "Verification; it has the 'speech' radical and the phonetic component xian 韱." The lower character is pronounced fanqie 韋貴. The Da Dai Liji says: "East-west is the weft (wei 緯)." The Shuowen says: "Cross-weaving silk; it has the 'silk' radical and the phonetic component wei 韋").
