炳蔚（上兵皿反廣雅云炳明也說文同從火丙聲下威謂反考聲云蔚翳也文彩明也說文從艹尉聲也）。

Luminous and ornate (炳: fanqie 兵皿 [bǐng]. The Guangya says: "Luminous." The Shuowen jiezi agrees; composed of 火 ('fire') with 丙 phonetic. The lower graph has the fanqie 威謂 [wèi]. The Kaosheng says: "Dense and flourishing; bright with literary embellishment." The Shuowen jiezi states: "Composed of 艹 with 尉 phonetic").
