孜汲（上子斯反下金岌反孔注尚書云孜孜不怠也說文汲汲也從文子聲作此資給亦通）。

孜汲: The first character has the fanqie phonetic notation zi (子) + si (斯). The second character has the fanqie phonetic notation jin (金) + ji (岌). Kong's commentary on the Shangshu states: 'Zizi (孜孜) means not being indolent.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'Jiji (汲汲) [means eager or anxious]. Analyzed as following the semantic component "text" (文) and the phonetic component zi (子).' Writing it as 資給 is also accepted.
